The Israeli army bombed tents in the city of Asdaa in Khan Yunis (south) in the early hours of this Saturday, killing 17 people, including six children, according to a source from Naser Hospital.
Among the deceased in this attack are the brothers Awad Hamdan Awad Fujo, 13, and his brother Abdullah, 10, as well as a six-month-old baby and three other children aged ten, eight, and seven.
Additionally, earlier this morning, an Israeli drone bombed a house in the Maghazi refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip, killing two people, according to sources from Al Awda Hospital cited by the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.
In the city of Gaza, the situation is unknown due to ongoing bombings. Yesterday, medical sources reported that at least 36 people died in attacks on this city, which Tel Aviv’s regime has announced it will militarily invade.
Nearly half of the hospitals and field hospitals in the Gaza Strip are located in the city of Gaza and account for 40% of the total hospitalization bed capacity, the UN warned yesterday, meaning a ground invasion would further paralyze an already collapsed healthcare system.
Furthermore, many medical centers in the south are operating at up to 300% of their bed capacity, according to hospital sources.
In recent days, the Zionist army has urged medical personnel in Gaza City to relocate southward, further perpetuating displacement of Gazans amid the ongoing genocide.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 62,263, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 157,365 others have also been injured. This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
