Assault Injures Foreign Activist Near Ramallah While UNICEF Says 300 Children Have Died Since October 2025 Ceasefire.
On Friday, Israeli settlers attacked the Naif al-Kaabneh Bedouin community east of al-Taybeh, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, where they assaulted the home of Naif Kaabne and injured a foreign activist.

“The settlers attacked residents and foreign solidarity activists, injuring a solidarity activist and causing bruises to her face and head after brutally beating her,” the Wafa news agency reported.
The attack was the second assault in less than 24 hours on the small community of Arab al Kaabne. On Thursday night, another settler attack injured three members of Naif Kaabne’s family, and Israeli authorities arrested one of them, Suleiman Kaabne.
According to the Palestinian human rights organization Al Baidar, during the attacks over the past several hours the settlers entered homes accompanied by their livestock and “under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.” The assaults come amid an escalation of settler attacks against Palestinian communities in areas east of Ramallah, especially those facing eviction attempts by Israeli groups.
On Friday, in the town of Turmusaya, Israeli authorities beat 80-year-old Jamis Rabi Yabara and threw stun grenades at him, causing head injuries and bruises for which he is now receiving hospital treatment, Al Baidar said.
Regarding the situation in Gaza, UNICEF said that at least 300 children have died in the Palestinian territory during the 300 days since the ceasefire agreed to by Israel and Hamas in October 2025.
“A ceasefire that leaves an average of one child dead every day is failing children. With hundreds more children injured, many of them seriously, Gaza’s children continue to wait for the end of the violence they were promised,” said Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF’s regional director for the Middle East and North Africa.
