Zionist forces are preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza.

On Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces carried out interception maneuvers against the Global Sumud Flotilla as the international mission sailed through the Mediterranean Sea to bring humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel Shapes the Story To Justify Aggression Against the Global Sumud Flotilla

Earlier, the Flotilla warned the international community that over 20 “unidentified” vessels appeared on its radar, about three nautical miles from the humanitarian boats.

“We have detected more than 20 unidentified vessels on our radar, only 3 nautical miles from our fleet. This could indicate a potential naval blockade. But let it be clear: we will not be intimidated by threats, harassment, or by the efforts to protect Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza,” the group said in a message on its Telegram channel.

Currently, the Global Sumud flotilla, which is attempting to bring humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, is less than 80 miles from the Palestinian enclave.

The radar on the vessel Alma has detected between ten and twelve vessels. “Please prepare for interception,” the Alma’s crew told its passengers, who remained seated on the ship’s stern wearing their life vests.

On other boats in the fleet, crew members could also be seen with life vests on, ready for a possible interception or boarding by the Israeli navy.

“Our kidnapping is imminent. Ten to 12 ships are currently approaching our flotilla… What Israel is doing is a scandal. We stand on the side of international law. Shut everything down!,” said French MEP Emma Fourreau, who is aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry activated its campaign to discredit the Global Sumud Flotilla, repeating the arguments its diplomats had been disseminating beforehand in international media.

“The sole purpose of the Hamas-Sumud flotilla is provocation. Israel, Italy, Greece, and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem have all offered and continue to offer the flotilla a way to peacefully deliver any aid they might have to Gaza. The flotilla refused because they are not interested in aid, but in provocation,” the Zionist diplomacy posted on X.

“The Israeli Navy has reached out to the Hamas-Sumud flotilla and asked them to change course. Israel has informed the flotilla that it is approaching an active combat zone and violating a lawful naval blockade. Israel reiterated the offer to transfer any aid peacefully through safe channels to Gaza,” it added.
