Israeli shelling reaches the areas of Gaza, Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Israel escalated its attacks across the Gaza Strip, including aerial bombardments and shootings, leaving four Palestinians dead and several wounded in the past 24 hours, 147 days after a ceasefire agreement was initially reached.

The latest offensive, reported on March 5, saw Israeli forces targeting various areas, significantly impacting the Palestinian population. These actions represent a grave breach of the existing ceasefire and further destabilize the already fragile humanitarian situation within the besieged enclave, in a deliberate and intensified military campaign.
Among the recent victims, a Palestinian woman was killed, and her husband injured, after Israeli forces opened fire on displacement tents in Rafah, a city already overwhelmed with displaced individuals. Additionally, two other Palestinians were fatally shot east of Khan Younis, a region frequently targeted by Israeli military operations. The violence also claimed the life of a child, who succumbed to previously sustained injuries, highlighting the devastating impact on innocent civilians.
During the early hours of March 5, Israeli warplanes carried out an air attack beyond the Green Line in Gaza City. This aerial offensive coincided with intense exchanges of gunfire in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, located in the eastern part of the city.
Concurrently, Israeli military vehicles reportedly fired upon areas east of Khan Younis, while warplanes struck the eastern zone of Deir al-Balah. Furthermore, aggressive forces launched fire east of the Al-Bureij refugee camp, situated in the central Gaza Strip, demonstrating a broad scope of military engagement.
Health authorities in Gaza confirmed a grim tally of casualties, reporting that one martyr and three wounded individuals were admitted to hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours.
Ongoing Genocide
These figures contribute to a devastating cumulative count since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, which now stands at 633 martyrs, in addition to 1,703 wounded and 753 bodies recovered, underscoring the ongoing human cost of the conflict despite purported agreements.
The overall toll since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, is even more catastrophic. The total number of martyrs has reached 72,117, with a staggering 717,801 wounded across the Gaza Strip. These figures paint a stark picture of the immense suffering and widespread destruction inflicted upon the Palestinian population, revealing the profound and enduring impact of continuous military operations.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critically severe, considered one of the most dire in the region. The population faces acute shortages of essential supplies, exacerbated by the ongoing conflict and movement restrictions.
The Gaza Border Crossings Authority reported that 277 trucks entered the enclave through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing. Of this total, 67 cargo vehicles transported commercial goods, while 210 carried much-needed humanitarian aid. However, Israel maintains the closure of the Rafah crossing in both directions, a crossing that is a vital gateway for the movement of people and essential supplies, and its continued closure significantly impedes both relief efforts and the ability of Palestinians to access basic necessities and critical medical care.
The persistent closure of Rafah intensifies the humanitarian crisis, underscoring the urgent need for open access and unimpeded aid delivery to the embattled Gaza Strip.
