Although the final figures will be confirmed after the tournament, the memorandum signed with the European Football Clubs Association (EFC) establishes a 70% increase compared to 2022, reaching US$355 million.

The program is divided into two funds: US$100 million for clubs that released players during the qualifying phase and US$250 million for those participating in the finals.

In the qualifying phase, which included 905 matches, clubs will receive approximately $2,360 per player per match, recognizing their contribution in the preliminary stage.

During the final phase, from June 11 to July 19, payments will be calculated per player per day, taking into account squad selection and playing time, with a minimum allocation of US$5,000 per day.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that the program recognizes the contribution of thousands of clubs in developing players who dream of representing their countries at the World Cup.

He stressed that, for the first time, all qualifying matches are included, allowing more clubs to receive financial benefits derived from the competition.

EFC and PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi welcomed the extension of financial support to the qualifying phase, benefiting hundreds of large and small clubs in Europe and other regions.

This agreement is part of the expansion of the 2026 World Cup to 48 teams and 104 matches, which increases global visibility and ensures greater financial support for clubs that release players for the World Cup.
