Delcy Rodriguez called this Friday all Venezuelans to participate in the nex Popular Consultation to be held on March 8, during the campaign closure of the initiative of participation promoted by the Venezuelan people.


During the closing campaign for the 2026 First popular Consultation, Acting President Delcy Rodriguez underscored the importance of the upcoming vote.

“On Sunday, we have an election; on Sunday, the Venezuelan people exercise sovereignty, the Venezuelan people choose the right to choose that is enshrined in our Constitution”, she declared.

She then urged every Venezuelan to attend the consultation, which marks the first of its kind in 2026. This electoral process is designed to allow citizens to directly define the most pressing priorities within their respective communal districts.

The upcoming vote serves as a vital mechanism for citizens to decide between urgent needs in public services and aspirations for development through productive projects. This empowerment of the people stands as a testament to Venezuela’s resilience, particularly in the face of the persistent economic blockade imposed by the United States.

Rodriguez specifically highlighted the ambitious target of expanding the network to 6,000 communal circuits nationwide, aiming to significantly optimize the management and allocation of resources. “The communal horizon is in our hands. And we will never surrender it; we will defend it forever”, she emphasized, reinforcing the Bolivarian Government’s commitment to grassroots governance.

Venezuelan Acting President further emphasized that her government’s focus is squarely on the youth, women, and men of the country. She robustly reiterated that only the Venezuelan people possess the authority to determine the nation’s future.

“I am Acting President because the Constitution mandates it… I took the staff of Command, and I tell you here… that staff of Command is for the women of Venezuela, it is for the men of Venezuela, it is for the youth of Venezuela”, she passionately conveyed, underscoring the government’s dedication to inclusive governance and its unwavering belief in the collective power of its citizens.

“Whoever decides the direction of our homeland must be the people of Venezuela, no one else; no power in the world is the power of the organized people of Venezuela”, she stressed.

The Acting President also updated that “new communal circuits” are being integrated into the existing 5,336, steadily advancing towards the crucial goal of 6,000 circuits.

Rodriguez additionally celebrated 17 years since the inception and development of the communes, highlithing “a model of inclusion, of social justice, of collective construction that the communes represent, showcasing the legacy of Chavez and the profound contributions of President Maduro in this communal movement nationwide.”

This historical perspective highlights the foundational role of the communal system in Venezuela’s sociopolitical landscape.
