“We have broken participation records”, stated Acting President Rodriguez. This high level of engagement, she affirmed, sends a powerful message to the world, solidifying participative democracy and reflecting the Bolivarian people’s desire for peace and tranquility.

Among the priority projects chosen by this specific commune, aligned with the Second Transformation of the Homeland Plan “Human City for Good Living”, are the replacement of damaged gas cylinders, the purchase of a 4-inch shut-off valve for each tower, and the financing of entrepreneurs within the urban development. Further initiatives include the continuity of the parking lot in blocks 4 and 7, and the acquisition of a plastic pressing machine, highlighting practical solutions directly addressing local needs and fostering economic self-sufficiency.

“We have a work agenda in the energy, mining and the fight against drug trafficking”, Rodriguez highlighted, beyond the local success and emphasizing Venezuela’s commitment to building long-term relations based on mutual respect and the truth of the nation.

The Acting President also recognized the protagonist role of Venezuelan women in consolidating peace, noting that nearly 80% of commune spokespersons are women.

“I am proud to be a Venezuelan woman (…) and to raise our tricolor in the name of all Venezuelans men and all Venezuelan women”, said with pride Delcy Rodriguez.

She also urged the neighborhood movement to continue joining the popular consultation processes enshrined in the Constitution, reinforcing the constitutional mandate for direct popular participation. In this sense, she announced that the Popular Consultation would be expanded to address situations in buildings in the capital and other cities, signaling a continuous effort to deepen participative democracy nationwide.

Delcy Rodriguez further announced that the first 10 communes with the highest youth participation would receive financing for youth projects, incentivizing future engagement and investment in the next generation. This comprehensive approach, rooted in commune empowerment, continues to define Venezuela’s local development model in the South American region.
