In these conversations, Rodríguez “provided detailed information about the armed attacks against our territory, which resulted in the deaths of more than one hundred civilians and military personnel,” as well as about the “serious violations of International Law,” including the “violation of the personal immunity of the Constitutional President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and First Combatant, Cilia Flores.”

All three conversations concluded with a consensus on the need to advance a broad bilateral cooperation agenda, based on respect for International Law, the sovereignty of States, and dialogue between peoples.

Rodríguez expressed “special gratitude to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the people of Brazil for their support and solidarity with Venezuela during the most critical moments following the aggression suffered.” With the Colombian president, he “reaffirmed that Colombia and Venezuela are sister nations, committed to moving forward together to confront and resolve the problems that affect us in common, based on mutual respect and regional cooperation.”

In her dialogue with the Spanish president, she expressed her gratitude for the courageous stance of the Spanish government in condemning the aggression against Venezuela and conveyed Venezuela’s interest in working together on a broad bilateral agenda that would be beneficial to both peoples and governments.

Finally, the acting president reaffirmed that Venezuela will continue to confront this aggression through diplomatic channels, faithful to the principles of Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, as the only path to defending our sovereignty and preserving peace.
