The relatives clarified that Jorge Messi is currently under professional medical care, recovering and progressing favorably and they explicitly stated that only the closest inner circle possesses accurate and precise information about his health status.
Consequently, Messi’s family declared that any external version, statement, or report not originating from official channels must not be considered valid or true under any circumstances.

Furthermore, the Messi family expressed deep indignation and discomfort over the lack of sensitivity, respect, and ethics demonstrated by those who treated this strictly private matter. They demanded immediate responsibility, prudence and humanity from the press, emphasizing that an individual’s health and family peace must never be treated as objects of irresponsible media speculation.
The false reports gained momentum following the Argentinean national team’s 3-0 victory against Algeria on Tuesday night. This match marked the debut of the South American squad in the World Cup 2026. The speculation grew primarily because of the intense emotion displayed by the Argentinean number 10 while celebrating the first of his three goals at the Kansas City Stadium.
