Venezuelan Acting President Presents Homeland Plan and Reinforces Sovereignty Against the US

The acting president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, delivered her 2026 Annual Address to the Nation this Thursday from the headquarters of the National Assembly, in an event attended by sectoral vice presidents, ministers, members of parliament, commanders of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), and representatives of the people.

In her address, Rodríguez highlighted the progress of the New Communal Government System and the implementation of the Homeland Plan of the Seven Transformations (7T), the strategic axis for the 2025-2031 period originally promoted by the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro.
This accountability report reinforces institutional respect for the Venezuelan legal system and underscores the continuity of the State in exceptional circumstances, as established by the Constitution.
The president reiterated the government’s commitment to national sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs: “There is a stain on relations between Venezuela and the US, but we will resolve it face to face through our diplomacy.”
She also called for national unity beyond political affiliations: “Political affiliations don’t matter; we must stand together to defend our sovereignty and the peace of the Republic.”
Rodríguez announced the creation of the Social Protection Fund to improve workers’ income and the Sovereign Services Fund, accompanied by a technological platform to guarantee transparency in the management of public resources.
She also recalled that “in 2025, Chavismo was consolidated in all spheres” and affirmed that “Venezuela has the right to relations with the US, but also with all countries of the world.”
In a firm tone, she stated: “If I have to go to Washington, I will go standing tall, not crawling,” reaffirming the Venezuelan state’s position of dignity and autonomy.
