A Palestinian Shot Dead by Israel in the North of the Occupied West Bank

A 37-year-old Palestinian was killed on Saturday near the Jenin refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank after being shot by the Israeli army, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported.

“Martyr Hussein Abdul Qader Khaddour (37) arrived at the Yenin Government Hospital from the city of Faqqua after a shot by the occupying forces,” the Palestinian emergency service said in a statement.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli soldiers shot at Qader Khaddour as he approached the fence dividing the refugee camp in the West Bank of Israel.
Occupied West Bank is experiencing its biggest spiral of violence since the Second Intifada (2000-05), and in 2024 at least 481 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli territory by fire, most of them militiamen from refugee camps, but also civilians, Including at least 74 minors.
Some 46 Palestinians were killed after allegedly carrying out attacks against Israelis, mostly against uniformed personnel at military checkpoints or near settlements. The year 2023 was already the deadliest in two decades, with more than 520 deaths in the occupied West Bank.
The IDF intensified its frequent incursions into the occupied West Bank following the Hamas attacks of 7 October and since then, some 800 Palestinians have been killed in violent incidents with Israel-more than 168 minors-mainly by troop fire, but a dozen of them at the hands of settlers.
