Yemen’s Armed Forces have carried out a hypersonic missile strike on Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, causing flight suspensions as part of their continued military escalation against Israel.
According to Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sari, the ballistic missile attack directly targeted the occupied city of Yaffa, fulfilling its intended military objective. Yemeni forces have reinforced aerial blockades over Ben Gurion, stating that most airlines have complied with the flight restrictions in recent days, significantly affecting air traffic to and from Israel.
The Houthi military command declared that daily massacres against Palestinians in Gaza continue to fuel Yemen’s commitment to intensify military operations aimed at stopping Israeli aggression and lifting the blockade on Gaza.
On Thursday, Yemeni forces carried out a precision strike on Ben Gurion Airport, marking a sustained regional offensive against Israeli military infrastructure. Since November 2023, Yemen has emerged as a key regional actor, deploying missiles, drones, and strategic blockades, disrupting Israeli air and maritime transport.
The impact has included the suspension of flights by international airlines and a steep decline in tourism to Israel amid the growing regional tensions.
