As long as the Zionist aggression continues, there is no point in talking about negotiations, he stressed.

On Friday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealed that the United States has sent multiple messages to the Iranian government in recent days but denied any direct contact or intention to engage in dialogue with Washington.

“We have made it clear that as long as aggression continues, there is no point in talking about negotiations… Iran is exercising its legitimate right to self-defense,” he said, dismissing reports of an alleged request for talks by Tehran.

“We have not requested any kind of negotiation. We have nothing to discuss,” Araghchi emphasized, accusing the United States of acting as “a partner of the Zionists” in the current conflict.

He also stated that while some nations have communicated with Iran, “there has been no contact or conversation with the Americans.”

Regarding recent clashes, the Iranian foreign minister insisted that attacks carried out by his nation’s armed forces “are exclusively directed at military and economic centers in the occupied territories” and denied targeting civilian or residential areas.

“We were right in the middle of negotiations. What are we supposed to return to?” he said in response to Western calls to resume diplomacy.

“We do not negotiate with anyone on the issue of missiles,” the Iranian foreign minister said, clarifying that upcoming talks with the European Troika would be limited to nuclear matters and regional issues.

So far, Iranian diplomats have held discussions with nearly 30 foreign ministers and have formally requested emergency meetings at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). China, Russia, Pakistan and Algeria are expected to push for the council’s next session in the coming week.
