The demonstration was convened by Diosdado Cabello, Secretary-General of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), who led the crowd carrying banners and chanting in defense of sovereignty and justice.

“Our position is clear, firm, and unequivocal: we support the people of Iran, we support the Iranian government in its right to defend its territory,” Cabello declared.

Jorge Rodríguez, President of the National Assembly, emphasized Venezuela’s commitment to peace. “Venezuela raises its voice for peace, insisting on the need to build a peaceful world for our children,” he said. He also described Israel as a genuine threat and accused it of ongoing aggression against Iran, which he defended as responding to unjustified provocation.

Tania Díaz, member of the PSUV’s National Directorate, reaffirmed the right of both Iran and Palestine to resist occupation and military threats. “We reaffirm today the right of the Iranian people to defend themselves, and the right of the Palestinian people to live,” she said. “Israel’s aggressions are reckless measures that put all humanity at risk.”

Pedro Infante, First Vice President of the National Assembly, echoed these sentiments: “From libertarian Caracas, the Caracas of Bolívar, we call on the world’s powerful elites to stop the war. We do not want war.”

The rally underscores Venezuela’s consistent foreign policy stance in support of the Palestinian and Iranian peoples, while advocating for dialogue, sovereignty, and an end to imperialist intervention.
