In a statement read by the Major General Javier José Marcano Tabata, Commander of the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP) and General Director of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM), stated that the entities rejected the imperialist narrative and the accusations of drug trafficking that are part of the United States’ disinformation campaign.
He recalled that the recent accusations are part of a plan sustained by the Pentagon, which since the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution has tried to block the country’s economic, food, medical, and energy development, while simultaneously organizing attacks and terrorist plans in the country.
In parallel, the high-ranking military official asserted that the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB) possesses an immense moral reserve built with the honor of its men and women throughout the entire revolutionary process.
Major General Tabata stated that these popular military entities are kept in permanent activity, adjusting the Bolivarian military doctrine to be up to par with the new forms of warfare and developing capabilities that enable the comprehensive defense of the nation and the security and protection of the Commander in Chief and his family members.
The senior military official highlighted the work of the counterintelligence officers, whose silent daily work honors the heroic past of the Liberator Army, and every day protects the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB) from the subversive activity of the imperialist special services.
The military power of Venezuela manifests itself after the US offer. of 50 million dollars for the capture of the Venezuelan president, described as “ridiculous” by the country. The Venezuelan chancellor condemned the terrorist plots orchestrated by the US, claiming that the US attorney general diverts media attention from his country’s crimes. This is in the context of the revelation that Donald Trump secretly signed a directive for the Pentagon to intervene in Latin American countries under the pretext of “fighting drug trafficking” without authorization from Congress.
The military power and the National Assembly of Venezuela strongly rejected the unfounded accusations against Nicolás Maduro. Its alleged link with the Cartel de los Soles was denied, and these allegations were described as a disinformation campaign promoted by imperialist circles. In addition, the National Assembly expressed its support for the development plans led by the president.
