Amid escalating violence in the Middle East Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, has issued an urgent appeal to the world’s major powers and the Global South to broker peace and halt the “criminal and immoral” military aggression by the Zionist State of Israel against the noble people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Speaking from Caracas, the President condemned the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing them as a continuation of the ongoing attacks against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq.

The Venezuelan head of state emphasized that the current conflict is not rooted in religious differences but is an extension of imperialist and colonial ambitions targeting sovereign nations in the region.

“It is an imperialist war to destroy peoples, to impose colonial military rule, order, and obedience,” declared President Maduro, insisting that the international community must reject this violence and support Iran’s legitimate right to peace.

He called on the governments of the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and all countries of the Global South, especially the Muslim nations,to stand firmly with the Islamic Republic of Iran in defense of international law and sovereignty.

President Maduro affirmed Iran’s right to self-defense, describing the nation as peaceful both by religion and conviction. “Iran has acted in self-defense, in accordance with international law,” he stated, emphasizing that the responsibility for the current escalation lies with those who initiated hostilities against Iran.

The Venezuelan leader also highlighted Iran’s demonstrated military superiority in the face of Israeli attacks but stressed that Tehran does not seek war. He urged that the path forward must be negotiation and respect for international law.

The President of Venezuela sharply criticized Western governments, including those in Berlin, Paris, London, and Washington, for their continued support of Netanyahu’s aggressive policies, warning that such complicity risks dragging the world into a broader and potentially nuclear conflict. He likened Netanyahu’s actions to those of Hitler and questioned how far the international community would allow this dangerous escalation to proceed.

Addressing the American people directly, President Maduro asked: “Do you want another war? Do you want the United States to be involved in the killing, the bloodshed, the destruction of Muslim peoples, and for the United States to be branded as the initiator of World War III?” He called on the citizens of the United States to resist the warmongering tendencies of their government and demand peace.

Concluding his message, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela urged the Jewish people living in occupied Palestine and the global community to end the aggression and break the cycle of violence.

“Enough of wars in the world! The powerful countries of the region and the world must come together and compel Netanyahu’s Zionist state to cease its attacks and respect international law. That must be the way forward; the way forward cannot be an escalation of violence, deaths, and bombs,” he affirmed.
