These results were achieved through targeted strategies, including the export of 2 million cases of rum to more than 100 countries, accounting for 3% of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Meanwhile, the state-owned company Abastecer shipped 6.7 metric tons of high-quality fruit to Barbados, and the Socialist Cement Corporation (CSC) reported a record 15,000 metric tons of cement exported to international markets.
Export diversification has also been driven by the Military Industry, which began exporting coffee to Russia as part of an import substitution strategy under the Economic Independence Plan.

Venezuela’s exports to Colombia include value-added products such as iron and steel castings, fertilizers, aluminum and its manufactures, fuels, oils, and organic chemical products.
Additionally, dredging work on the Orinoco River, carried out by the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG), expanded operations for Maderas del Orinoco, facilitating wood chip exports for construction to China and the Middle East.
