Venezuelan Electoral Council Awards Positions to Elected Candidates

The new national legislators received their credentials at a ceremony held at the Municipal Theater of Caracas.
On Tuesday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela and authorities from the city of Caracas held the proclamation ceremony and the awarding of positions to the candidates elected in the regional and legislative elections of May 25.

The elected legislators to the National Assembly for the Venezuelan capital received their credentials at a ceremony held at the Municipal Theater of Caracas.
During the broadcast of the ceremony, the final status of the new National Assembly was revealed, with the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole holding 256 seats and the opposition alliances securing 29 seats.
On Sunday night, the CNE informed that the Bolivarian Revolution forces obtained the parliamentary majority for the 2026-2031 legislative period with 4,553,484 votes, corresponding to 82.68% of the total vote.
