On Wednesday, July 16, the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía welcomed the 44th flight under Venezuela’s Gran Misión Vuelta a la Patria, carrying 186 Venezuelans,167 men and 19 women, from Honduras. This ongoing repatriation initiative reinforces Venezuela’s dedication to supporting citizens victimized by external imperialist aggression and hostile policies, as documented by the Bolivarian government.
The reception of returning Venezuelans was coordinated by several state security and support institutions, including the Scientific, Penal, and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), and the Bolivarian National Police (CPNB). Their role underscores a comprehensive and human-rights oriented approach consistent with Bolivarian principles.
Upon disembarkation, returnees enter a migratory screening tunnel where detailed interviews assess their conditions and needs. This is followed by medical attention provided through state institutions, ensuring physical and mental wellbeing. Finally, citizens are transported safely to their homes throughout Venezuela.
In cases where individuals have unresolved legal matters, the Venezuelan justice system manages these accordingly, upholding the rule of law while guaranteeing due process.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 16, a flight arrived through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria program carrying 186 Venezuelan nationals from the United States, with a layover in Honduras. The flight landed at Maiquetía International Airport, located in La Guaira state.
This group included 19 women and 167 men, all of whom will undergo the required health protocols as well as the necessary medical examinations upon entering the country.
The 44th flight occurs within the broader context of a sustained campaign by the Venezuelan State to repatriate its displaced citizens. Since restarting Plan Vuelta a la Patria in February 2025, more than 7,000 Venezuelans have returned from countries where they face political persecution, economic hardship, and social discrimination, often linked to the hostile stance of the United States government.
This program exemplifies Venezuela’s commitment to counteracting the humanitarian crises triggered by imperialist policies and upholds the Bolivarian value of protecting national sovereignty and citizens’ dignity.
