Maduro Accuses Volker Türk of Complicity and Western Influence
President Maduro criticized Volker Türk for spending excessive time in Washington, suggesting he takes orders from the US government and the European Union. “We already know the cowardice of Volker Türk,” Maduro said, recalling how a two-year-old Venezuelan girl was kidnapped and how his calls to the UN official went unanswered. Maduro questioned why Türk defended individuals accused of financing terrorism but remained silent on the plight of Venezuelan children abducted abroad.
Highlighting the broader context, President Maduro warned that international organizations linked to the UN have become platforms for Western governments to launch attacks against Venezuela.
He emphasized that these bodies are often weaponized to shield those who undermine Venezuelan sovereignty. The president vowed that Venezuela will continue to expose these injustices and defend its people against foreign interference.
