Venezuela Congratulates China on the 104th Anniversary of the Communist Party’s Founding

The Bolivarian government reaffirmed its determination to strengthen its partnership with the Chinese nation.
On Tuesday, Venezuela sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Founded in 1921, the CPC was deeply influenced by both internal social unrest and international ideological trends. At the time, China was experiencing warlordism, foreign domination and widespread poverty following the collapse of the Qing Dynasty.
The success of the Russian Revolution in 1917 inspired Chinese intellectuals, especially those involved in the May Fourth Movement.
Under the guidance of the Comintern, the CPC was officially established in Shanghai with just a handful of delegates, including Mao Zedong, who would later become its most prominent leader.
In tribute to these historical events, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry issued the following statement:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulates the People’s Republic of China and its President, Xi Jinping, on the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China — a revolutionary political organization that has tirelessly worked to help the Chinese people achieve high levels of prosperity and development.
Throughout these years, the historic work carried out by the Communist Party of China in favor of the growth of the great Asian nation has transcended its borders, thanks to the implementation of a sovereign socialist democracy that has lifted millions of people out of poverty, based on the principles of equity and justice.
The government of Venezuela reaffirms its full determination to strengthen the All-Weather Strategic Partnership with the government of China in order to build a more prosperous future for both nations.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela sends this message of brotherhood and solidarity to the Communist Party of China and its entire membership, and wishes for the swift realization of the ‘Chinese Dream’ — to see a strong, rejuvenated and happy nation.”
