Venezuela Condemns US Aggression on Iran

Venezuela have condemned the US recent bombardments in Iranian nuclear facilities, describing it as an illegal, unjustifiable and extremely dangerous act of aggression that flagrantly violates the Charter of the United Nations Charter.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela firmly and categorically condemns the bombing carried out by the United States Army, at the request of the State of Israel, against nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan complexes,” the statement from the Venezuelan Foreign Minister issues.

The Bolivarian Republic qualifies the events as “an illegal, unjustifiable and extremely dangerous act of aggression that flagrantly violates the Charter of the United Nations Charter, international law and the most basic principles of respect for the sovereignty of States.”

In addition, the statement recalls that bombing nuclear facilities, with all the risks it entails for human life and the environmental balance of the region, is an irresponsible escalation that could unleash consequences of incalculable proportions for global stability. It is a direct threat to international peace.

The South American country reaffirms its solidarity with the Iranian people and our commitment peace, sovereignty and the defense of international law as the only path to coexistence amongst nations.
