On June 10, 2025, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela issued a strong condemnation of the political and judicial attack against Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, historic leader of Peronism and the Argentine people.
The Venezuelan government denounced the Supreme Court ruling, which permanently bars Kirchner from holding public office, as a brutal persecution driven by a judiciary subordinated to the authoritarian project of Argentina’s current president, Javier Milei.
Venezuelan sources emphasize that this illegitimate and illegal ruling is not about justice but about forcibly silencing the political heart and soul of millions of Argentines. Far from a legal process, it is a colonial method imposed by economic powers seeking to subjugate Argentina to international financial capital through violence and repression.
The statement recalls Argentina’s darkest era, when a brutal dictatorship disappeared over 30,000 citizens, violating fundamental human rights. Today, the same forces, masked with new faces but driven by the same class hatred, seek to politically eliminate a democratic leader whose only “crime” is governing for the majority and resisting the surrender of national sovereignty.
The text reads: The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela firmly denounces the political and judicial coup against former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, historic leader of Peronism, the opposition, and the Argentine people, who today is the victim of a brutal persecution driven by a judiciary subordinated to the authoritarian project of Javier Milei.
This illegitimate and illegal ruling seeks to forcibly disqualify the person who represents the political and emotional heart of millions of Argentine women and men. This is not about justice; it is about erasing the adversary through colonial methods, imposing by blood and fire an economic and social model designed to subject Argentina to international financial capital.
In the past, a shameful dictatorship made more than 30,000 Argentine citizens disappear, violating their human rights. Today, the same forces of yesterday, with different faces but the same class hatred, seek to politically erase a democratic Argentine leader whose only “crime” has been governing in favor of the majority and resisting the surrender of her country.
Cristina Fernández, inspired by the example of Nelson Mandela, will resist this attack with dignity, and this persecution—modeled after the dictatorships that ravaged the continent in the 1970s and 1980s—will strengthen her, leading her toward her hour of resurrection and victory.
But this is not an isolated event. It is part of a single geopolitical coup against Latin America. We have seen it in the blatant electoral fraud in Ecuador and the seizure of power by criminal gangs; in the unleashed violence against President Gustavo Petro in Colombia; and now in the judicial assault against the Argentine people. The same script, the same strategy: reconquer and recolonize the continent, annihilating every popular and sovereign project.
From Venezuela, we call on the peoples, governments, and movements of our America to understand and confront this offensive for what it is: a comprehensive war against the dignity and self-determination of the region.
The Argentine people have memory and courage. Sooner rather than later, they will defeat fascism as they already did with the dictatorships. Cristina will return stronger. With Perón, Evita, and Néstor, the Argentine people will triumph!

Venezuela highlights that this judicial offensive is part of a coordinated geopolitical coup against Latin America, echoing the fraudulent electoral processes in Ecuador, violent attacks against President Gustavo Petro in Colombia, and now the assault on the Argentine people.
From Caracas, the Venezuelan government calls on the peoples, governments, and movements of Latin America to recognize and confront this comprehensive war against the dignity and self-determination of the region.
The Argentine people, with their memory and courage, will defeat fascism as they did with past dictatorships. Cristina Kirchner will return stronger, and with the legacy of Perón, Evita, and Néstor, the Argentine people will triumph.
Supreme Court of Argentina upholds Cristina Kirchner's conviction. The highest court rejected the appeals and ratified the ruling that sentenced the former president and Peronist leader to six years in prison, which disqualifies her from holding public office. pic.twitter.com/YKgNn7eQhn
