Venezuela’s acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, announced a series of Cabinet changes on Friday via her official Telegram channel. These changes aim to strengthen strategic areas of the National Executive.

The new appointments seek to reinforce key sectors such as transportation, ecosocialism, and communication, in line with the priorities of the Bolivarian Government. In her message, Rodríguez expressed her “gratitude for their commitment and work leading this ministry,” acknowledging the work of the outgoing officials.
Among the changes, the appointment of Vice Admiral Aníbal Coronado as the new Minister of Popular Power for Transportation stands out, replacing Ramón Velásquez Araguayán.
In environmental matters, philosopher Freddy Ñáñez was appointed as the new Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism. His mission will be to continue and deepen public policies aimed at protecting biodiversity and the environment, under the premise of safeguarding Mother Earth (Pachamama).
Likewise, the Ministry of Popular Power for Communication and Information will be headed by philosopher, writer, and communicator Miguel Pérez Pirela.
In this regard, Delcy Rodríguez emphasized that his academic background and communication experience will be fundamental to strengthening the State’s strategy in defense of the truth about Venezuela and its informational sovereignty on the national and international stage.
These changes are part of an institutional reorganization aimed at optimizing government management at a crucial time for consolidating public policies.
