Venezuela and China Strengthen Alliance at Hong Tin Forum

The Hong Tin Forum, held in Caracas, brought together representatives from Venezuela and China to strengthen their strategic partnership and address common challenges in an ever-changing world.

The meeting, held in the José Félix Ribas Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater, was attended by the Sectoral Vice President of Communication and Culture of Venezuela, Freddy Ñáñez, and the Director General of the Regional Office for Latin America of the Xinhua News Agency of China, Jiang Yan, among other prominent leaders.
Freddy Ñáñez highlighted that the Hong Ting Forum seeks to “bring realities closer, understand singularities, and build a permanent working group that enriches critical thinking and cooperation between both nations.”
In addition, he emphasized that Venezuela and China face similar challenges, such as information manipulation and hegemonic narratives, and called for the formation of a “trench of ethical-cultural thought” to combat them.
Jiang Yan, for his part, stated that the goal of the meeting is to create conditions for a peaceful world based on dialogue and cooperation. ” China and Venezuela must join efforts to overcome technological asymmetries and build shared development,” he said.
Venezuelan MP Rodolfo Sanz stressed that the proposal of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, driven by Venezuela, is compatible with China’s vision of a “Community of Shared Future for Humanity,” promoted by President Xi Jinping. Both initiatives seek to promote international cooperation and the joint solution of global problems.
The Hong Tin Forum also addresses topics such as the New Silk Road, a Chinese initiative to connect large-scale infrastructure and foster global cooperation. The global geopolitical situation was also analysed, with conflicts in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, and the importance of dialogue for achieving peace and development was called.
This meeting strengthens the alliance between Venezuela and China, consolidating a relationship based on mutual cooperation and respect for the self-determination of peoples. Both nations seek, through this forum, to build bridges of understanding and work together to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
