In a forceful statement, Diosdado Cabello, Venezuela’s Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, announced the capture and subsequent handover to the United States of an active US Air Force pilot detained after entering the country with the intention of carrying out terrorist acts.

The official emphasized that the detainee did not come to Venezuela “for a picnic,” but with clear sabotage intentions, revealing that the pilot had previously been in Ukraine, highlighting his involvement in international destabilization operations.

Cabello explained that the pilot tried to justify his presence with a story that has not been fully disclosed yet but will be revealed in due time.
