The United States government, under the Trump administration, is rapidly assembling the infrastructure for a direct military intervention against Iran, as confirmed by multiple sources familiar with Pentagon planning and reported by Bloomberg and other international outlets.

Senior U.S. officials are preparing for the possibility of launching attacks on Iranian territory in the coming days, a move that would mark a dangerous escalation of imperialist aggression in the Middle East.

The deployment of additional fighter jets, bombers, and warships across the region exposes the true motives behind Washington’s actions: the defense of its geopolitical interests and the protection of Israel as a strategic ally.

As anti-imperialist analysts have long argued, U.S. militarism in the Middle East is not about democracy or security, but about maintaining hegemony and control over vital resources and shipping lanes.

These events unfold amid a growing escalation in the confrontational tone adopted by Donald Trump toward Iran. In recent days, the U.S. president has hardened his rhetoric, publicly demanding Tehran’s “unconditional surrender” and warning that he is prepared to take military action if deemed necessary, even suggesting he knows the location of Iran’s Supreme Leader and issuing direct threats through his social media channels.

Trump has reiterated that he is not seeking a ceasefire but a “real end” to the conflict, conditioning any possibility of peace on the complete abandonment of Iran’s nuclear program and leaving the door open to imminent military intervention.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly questioned whether the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs would effectively destroy Iran’s underground nuclear infrastructure at the Fordo facility, according to Axios. These doubts about the technical success of such an operation have contributed to his hesitation in deciding whether to proceed with a strike.

While military advisors assure that the U.S. has the capability to carry out the attack, they emphasize that it involves more than simply dropping bunker-buster bombs to claim victory. Meanwhile, Israel has indicated to the Trump administration that although their bombs may not penetrate deeply enough into the mountain, they could achieve their objectives with ground personnel.

The White House continues to consider a range of options, from surgical strikes to larger air offensives, with all possibilities remaining “on the table” as they monitor Iran’s response and the evolving Middle East conflict.

Although Trump has not yet made a final decision, reports reveal he has authorized preliminary plans for a potential multiple bombing campaign against Fordo, while the Pentagon has deployed destroyers and fighter jets to the region in preparation for possible action.

This stance, combined with the deployment of military infrastructure and options, reveals a dangerous tilt toward direct confrontation, heightening regional and global tensions.

In response to these threats, Iranian officials have warned that any direct U.S. involvement will trigger “all-out war,” with Tehran preparing to strike American military bases across Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

Iran’s Defense Minister has made clear that all U.S. bases in the region are within reach, and intelligence reports indicate that missiles and other military equipment are being readied for possible retaliation. Iranian sources also warn that the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil shipping route, could be mined, threatening global energy supplies and escalating the crisis further.
