The President of the United States, Donald Trump, escalated his aggressive rhetoric on Monday by threatening to launch additional attacks against Iran “if necessary.” Reacting to a statement from Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who admitted that US bombings had heavily damaged Iran’s nuclear sites, Trump took to Truth Social to declare:
“The Iranian Foreign Minister said their nuclear facilities are ‘very seriously damaged, destroyed.’ Of course they are, as I said, and we will do it again if necessary!”
Trump further threatened Tehran by saying that reconstructing the nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahán would take “years.” He warned Iran that if it attempts to restore these facilities, “it would be much better to start anew, in three different places before those sites are annihilated.”
This clear threat underscores the administration’s willingness to continue aggressive military actions under the guise of defense and security.

The US President also attacked media outlets like CNN for casting doubt on the effectiveness of the bombings, rebutting skepticism with combative language. Meanwhile, recent Pentagon assessments indicated only one of the nuclear sites was heavily damaged, with the others likely able to resume uranium enrichment shortly. Even US Defense officials admitted uncertainty over whether the powerful GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs reached their targets as intended.
President Trump’s declarations exemplify ongoing US imperialism in the Middle East, driven by hegemonic ambitions rather than genuine security concerns. The militarized posture not only violates international law but also threatens regional stability and global peace. Such statements reveal Washington’s refusal to seek diplomatic solutions, instead opting for aggression that risks deeper conflict.
