As Israeli airstrikes continue to devastate Iranian territory, killing more than 220 people since Friday, Tehran has responded with a multifront offensive under the codename “True Promise III”. The Iranian campaign includes missile and drone strikes, as well as a cyberattack that disrupted emergency systems in several Israeli cities—marking a dramatic escalation in one of the most volatile military confrontations in recent years.

Iran’s Health Ministry reported 224 deaths and over 1,270 injuries, claiming that more than 90% of casualties are civilians, including numerous women and children. Many of the fatalities reportedly occurred in residential neighborhoods in Tehran, such as the Chamran complex, where children remain trapped under rubble. The numbers could not be independently verified, but Iran has accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians.

Israel insists its airstrikes are “surgical” and focused on nuclear and military infrastructure, but Iranian officials have dismissed these claims as propaganda. “This is routine barbarism,” stated Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqai on X, asserting that three recent strikes alone killed 73 women and children.

In retaliation, Iran has launched hundreds of missiles and drones toward Israeli military installations and sensitive targets. One missile landed near the U.S. Consulate in Tel Aviv, causing minor structural damage but no injuries. U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed the incident and announced the closure of both the Tel Aviv consulate and the Jerusalem embassy for the day, citing safety concerns.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported a major cyberattack launched by Iranian operatives, which infiltrated key interception systems and triggered false air raid alarms across multiple cities. The resulting panic forced thousands into bomb shelters overnight. Analysts described the move as a “masterclass in psychological warfare,” highlighting gaps in Israel’s cyberdefense infrastructure.

“The damage was not physical, but psychological—and deeply destabilizing,” said one Israeli security correspondent. Israeli authorities have pledged to investigate the breach and bolster digital defenses, but public confidence has already taken a hit.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) report 14 deaths and 390 injuries on their side since the Iranian strikes began. The military remains on high alert, with sirens continuing to sound in central and southern areas.

This conflict, now entering its fourth day, underscores the growing role of hybrid warfare in the Middle East. Iran’s simultaneous use of physical and digital tactics signals a strategic shift—aimed not only at military retaliation but at undermining Israeli security and morale. Observers warn that the confrontation could spiral into a broader regional conflict if de-escalation efforts fail.
