The president sent a message of brotherhood in response to the adherence of the government of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to a plan of US aggression.

President Nicolás Maduro announced the precautionary measure “in the face of the prime minister’s threat to turn Trinidad and Tobago into the aircraft carrier of the U.S. empire against Venezuela.”

The Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Security, Citizenship and Peace of Venezuela questioned the decision of Washington and Port of Spain to place the maneuvers “right in front of the Venezuelan coast” despite the availability of other areas in the Trinidadian territory.
