The Honduran Public Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed the receipt of new audio recordings linked to an alleged plot to annul the election results and destabilize the government of Xiomara Castro. The announcement comes on the same day that the Honduran president denounced a conspiracy, supported by foreign interests, to stage a coup.

The statement comes after a total of 24 audios were presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office that reflect a plan to boycott the presidential elections and that link a military officer active in the plan.
