The Kurdish military group closed roads with concrete and earth barriers.
On Thursday, Syrian authorities accused the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of blocking a humanitarian corridor in Deir Hafir, which prevents civilian evacuations amid the current attacks.

The Deir Hafir administration stated that the Kurdish-led SDF closed roads with concrete and earth barriers, forcing residents to take dangerous alternative routes to escape the conflict.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Army announced a humanitarian corridor operating between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., after declaring Deir Hafir and surrounding villages a closed military zone under Kurdish-Syrian control.
Both sides had agreed to a ceasefire in Aleppo, but the Kurdish groups denounced new government attacks using suicide drones and artillery against Deir Hafir, Maskanah, the Tishreen Dam, and nearby villages.
While the March 2025 agreement on autonomous zones remains unfulfilled following the fall of Former President Bashar al-Assad, the state media broadcast images of military reinforcements advancing toward Deir Hafir, which raised fears of a massive assault against the locality.
In recent days, clashes between the Syrian army and the SDF have left eight dead and 57 wounded in Aleppo. While SDF spokesman Farhad Shami reported bombings in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, Damascus called these districts “military zones” due to escalating violence and accused the Kurds of attacking residential areas.
The clashes began after a meeting in Damascus between Mazlum Abdi, head of the SDF, and government officials, in which a consensus was not reached. The conflict could escalate since Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar backed the Kurds, while Turkey offered support to the Syrian Army.
