The Israeli nighttime operation resulted in the deaths of Iranian citizens, including generals and scientists. Tehran authorities described the attack as proof that Israel “adheres to no international norms or laws” and continues to “spread terror and incite war before the eyes of the world.”

The Iranian government denounced Western hypocrisy, accusing nations that claim to defend human rights and international law of ignoring Israeli actions.

“This cowardly nighttime operation exacerbates the diplomatic process regarding Iran’s sensitive concerns,” Iranian authorities said, pointing out that the attack as a sign of Israel’s “fear” of “Iran’s ability to persuade and defend the world.”

“Iranians have not started a war in the past 200 years. The country will not hesitate to defend itself,” the Iranian government said, noting that the Israeli aggression has united all Iranian political factions under a single objective.

“Now, all of Iran—the nation, the government, and its institutions—can shout louder than ever that the Zionists are terrorists and aggressors,” the statement declared, emphasizing that revenge and self-defense are the legitimate rights of the Persian nation, which will deliver “a decisive response to the child-killing, terrorist Zionist regime.”

“Defending our water, land, skies, children, generals, scientists, and all citizens is an inescapable responsibility,” the official statement added and justified Iran’s insistence on developing nuclear and missile capabilities.

“The world now better understands Iran’s insistence on its right to enrichment, nuclear technology, and missile power,” Tehran stated and claimed to have taken the necessary political and legal measures to ensure Israel “regrets its actions from this moment onward.”

The Iranian government vowed to avenge “each and every one of our martyrs” and to turn “the violation of Iranian national sovereignty into the unforgivable sin of the usurping Israeli regime.”

Iranian authorities also urged the United Nations Security Council to “defend its identity and existence amid the collapse of the international system.” However, they warned they would not wait for international action, citing the words of the leader of the revolution that “the mighty hand of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces will not let this stand.”

The statement concluded with a direct warning: “Revenge is near—God willing, closer than the jugular vein of the Zionist terrorists.” Iranian officials stressed that they represent “the voice of a nation and a government telling the world: We did not start this war, but Iran will write its final chapter.”
