Preliminary exit polls from the June 1, 2025, presidential runoff in Poland indicate a very close contest between Rafal Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki. According to Ipsos data, Trzaskowski holds a slight lead with approximately 50.2% of the vote, while Nawrocki trails closely with 49.8%. A second exit poll by República TV shows an even narrower margin.

Rafal Trzaskowski, representing the Civic Coalition, has campaigned on strengthening Poland’s ties with the European Union and promoting social reforms. He addressed supporters after the polls closed, calling the election day “historic” and promising to serve all Poles.

Karol Nawrocki, backed by the Law and Justice party, has emphasized national sovereignty and conservative values throughout his campaign. The close results reflect a divided electorate with strong support for both candidates.

Voter turnout was reported to be high, reflecting the importance of this election to many Poles. The official results are expected to be announced by the National Electoral Commission early Monday. Both candidates have expressed respect for the democratic process and the final outcome.

This runoff marks a significant moment in Poland’s political landscape, with the final results set to shape the country’s direction in the coming years.
