Venezuela Denounces New U.S. Stigmatization Operation Against Its People

On June 5, 2025, from the historic Samán de Güere in Maracay, President Nicolás Maduro Moros addressed the public during the swearing-in of Joana Sánchez as governor of Aragua. The President delivered a direct and forceful message to U.S. President Donald Trump, invoking the legacy of the Liberator and Commander Chávez, and urging Trump: “I send you a message, do not let yourself be poisoned any longer against Venezuela. They poison you every day with lies”.

Just a day earlier, Trump had signed a new proclamation imposing partial bans and heightened restrictions on Venezuelans and citizens from other countries. Maduro denounced the decree as a product of misinformation, stating, “Yesterday they issued a decree based on lies.

They say Venezuela does not accept migrants, but we go get them with our planes, how can they say we don’t accept them, President Donald Trump?” The new U.S. policy creates severe obstacles for migrants, students, and professionals, representing collective punishment based on nationality and is widely criticized as a political weapon to isolate and destabilize Venezuela.

From Aragua, Maduro declared: “Enough of discredit campaigns. Enough of lies, and I say it from Aragua, here, land free of criminals”. This phrase directly responds to the stigmatization of Aragua and its people, especially in light of international narratives linking the state to criminal organizations.

The Bolivarian Government, through coordinated operations, dismantled the Tren de Aragua criminal organization on September 20, 2023, making the Trump administration’s accusations against Venezuelan migrants preposterous.

The President’s statement highlighted that the region’s identity is rooted in revolutionary values, not criminality. Governor Joana Sánchez’s administration continues to focus on transparency, community participation, and social justice to improve the lives of Aragua’s residents.

The text reads: Message from President Nicolás Maduro to President Donald Trump, urging him not to be deceived by the usual suspects.

The President passionately defended the Venezuelan , stating, “I stand in defense of the dignity, honor, and decency of the brave people of Venezuela and of the Venezuelan migration in the United States. We are good people”.

He called for an end to misinformation and discredit campaigns against Venezuelans, emphasizing that the government is willing to repatriate its citizens and that Venezuelan migrants deserve respect and solidarity.

These declarations reinforce the broader commitment of the Bolivarian Government to social justice and regional stability. Despite harsh economic sanctions and political pressure from the United States, Venezuela continues to prioritize the welfare of its citizens and migrants.

Initiatives like the “Aragüeñidad 2025-2029” plan aim to strengthen community participation, combat corruption, and promote economic recovery. This vision of inclusive governance stands in direct opposition to imperialist attempts to destabilize and marginalize the Venezuelan people both at home and abroad.
