Space Live transmits images of Earth 24/7 from the International Space Station.
Last week, ITVX, a UK-based streaming platform, began non-stop live broadcasts of planet Earth from the International Space Station (ISS).

The channel employs 4K cameras, automated geographic data, and ambient music. It shows three fixed perspectives: the Earth’s surface, sunrises, and the station’s docking area, making space observation a daily routine accessible to any viewer
The system includes a digital tracker that indicates the exact location of the station, along with artificial intelligence that provides instant geographic and meteorological information, combining advanced technology with scientific outreach.
The collaboration between ITV and the British company Sen enabled the installation of the SpaceTV-1 system on the station, setting Space Live apart with its superior visual quality and a soundtrack designed to accompany without distracting.
Although National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) offers similar broadcasts, Space Live stands out for its more engaging visuals, such as sun reflections on the sea or storms in real time.
The proposal aligns with the expansion of digital streaming, adding a scientific and educational window to ITV’s streaming platform (ITVX) offering, which already includes thematic channels and alternative reality channels.
Space Live allows the public to observe the planet from anywhere, even Central America, with a definition that is now focusing on a scientific and educational frame that can appeal to both students and space-seekers.
Beyond entertainment, Space Live showcases the potential of digital television to bring science to people, as they watch the station cross continents in a matter of seconds.
