The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Global Protection Cluster Network, and the Child Protection Area of Responsibility warned that more than 64,000 Palestinian children have been killed or injured by Israel in the Gaza Strip since the start of its latest genocidal campaign against the Palestinian population in October 2023.
In a statement, the organizations reported 658,000 school dropouts due to the devastation caused by systematic Israeli aggression, which has left more than 70,000 people dead in the coastal enclave.

“They are exposed to relentless violence, repeated displacement, and severe deprivation,” the statement denounced. The institutions warned that as a consequence of Israel’s criminal actions, more than 11,000 children have suffered serious injuries and require long-term rehabilitation and mental health support.
On Tuesday, local media reported the killing of a child and a journalist in an Israeli attack on Gaza City, an aggression carried out in flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreements that came into effect on October 11.
Meanwhile, Tel Aviv continues its demolition operations along the so-called “yellow line” in the eastern areas of the enclave’s main city.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the number of Palestinians killed exceeds 70,000, mostly children and women, while 170,986 people have been injured. It also warned that victims remain trapped under the rubble, where ambulance and civil defense teams are hampered by the ongoing threats and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation.
The true magnitude of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza cannot yet be fully assessed, the Palestinian Ministry warned.
Palestinian authorities are reporting alarming figures of Israeli attacks against the civilian population, in addition to denouncing war crimes and violations of international law and human rights by this Zionist entity.
Various governments, experts, and analysts agree that Palestine is facing genocide at the hands of Israel, as part of its colonialist actions in the Arab nation since 1948, following the illegal UN-backed allocation of part of Palestinian territory to a group of European citizens for settlement, without the consent of the original Palestinian population.
