Monagas, June 4, 2025 — In a powerful statement during the swearing-in of Ernesto Luna as governor of Monagas state, Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, declared that “peace has won across the entire national territory”.
Cabello emphasized that Venezuelan security forces remain fully alert and operational to counter any attempts by mercenaries, opposition groups, or ultraright-wing criminals to destabilize the country’s political order.
Vigilance Against Imperialist Threats and Domestic Sabotage
Cabello warned that the extreme right continues to seek any pretext to attack the Venezuelan people. “They will not stay quiet; the Yankees will not stay quiet,” he stated firmly, underscoring the ongoing interference by U.S. imperialism.
He called for strengthened efforts to combat narcotrafficking, corruption, and terrorism, highlighting the government’s commitment to uphold justice swiftly and fairly under the Constitution and existing laws.

Recounting recent thwarted incursions, Cabello reminded the public of an attempted armed entry into Venezuela through Sucre state from Trinidad, describing the attackers as armed criminals.
He urged Venezuelans not to be misled by opposition narratives that portray such groups as “Robin Hoods,” stressing that their actions ultimately harm the people. “Wherever these gangs go, we will pursue them and together guarantee the peace of this country,” he affirmed.
Condemnation of Imperialist Threats and Defense of Migrants
Cabello denounced recent threats against security officials, including the commander of the Integral Defense Zone No. 82 in La Guaira, Gregorio Antonio Briceño Paniagua, whose family has been targeted by imperialist intimidation.
He also condemned the hostile treatment of Venezuelan migrants abroad, particularly those detained in the so-called Center for the Confinement of Terrorism (CECOT) in El Salvador. “This Revolution excludes no one; it is open to all Venezuelans and those who come from other countries to work,” he emphasized.
Youth Engagement and Popular Mobilization
Looking ahead, Cabello highlighted the upcoming youth consultation scheduled for July 27, aimed at promoting community projects through popular organization and communal circuits. “When the people mobilize, the enemies of the Homeland continue to flee,” he concluded, reaffirming the government’s commitment to grassroots empowerment as a cornerstone of national sovereignty and peace.
This statement from Minister Cabello reinforces the Venezuelan government’s narrative of resilience and unity in the face of external aggression and internal sabotage, emphasizing peace as the prevailing victory for the Bolivarian Revolution.
