According to sources from the Al Awda hospital in Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip, six people, including a minor, were killed by Zionist soldiers’ gunfire near the food distribution point of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in the Wadi Gaza area (central Gaza).

Two other people, one of them a woman, were killed by Israeli fire near an aid distribution center in northern Rafah, in the southern part of the enclave, according to the Naser Medical Center, located in the southern city of Khan Younis.

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which operates a field hospital in Rafah, where one of the GHF’s distribution points is located, the organization’s medical teams have treated over 4,500 gunshot wound victims since May 27, when the group began operating with the support of Israel and the United States.

“It is unacceptable that people are dying and getting injured while trying to feed their families,” the ICRC said in a statement on Friday, noting that the vast majority of the victims reported they were trying to reach a food distribution point when they were attacked.

Tel Aviv’s regime has admitted on several occasions to firing “warning shots” at groups of Palestinians near the centers, which are located in areas under Israeli military control.

More than 1,700 people have died in Gaza since May 27 while attempting to receive humanitarian aid, both at GHF points and along the roads through which the few UN trucks that Israel allows into the enclave pass.
