Israel allowed only 674 aid trucks to enter the Gaza Strip in the eight days since the border crossings were opened on Sunday, July 27, 2025. According to the Government Information Office in the enclave, around 4,800 trucks should have arrived during this period to meet the minimum humanitarian needs.

The office explained that the daily average of incoming trucks did not exceed 84, representing only 14 percent of the required minimum.

It also denounced the ongoing looting and theft of the vast majority of this aid, describing it as part of a systematic policy implemented by the zionist occupation under the pretext of “creating chaos and starvation.”

Meanwhile, UNICEF reported that an average of 28 children a day — the size of a classroom — have been killed in Gaza due to the ongoing bombardment carried out by Tel Aviv’s regime and the prolonged starvation that has lasted more than 660 days.

In a post on X, the NGO stated: “Death by bombardments. Death by malnutrition and starvation. Death by lack of aid and vital services. In Gaza, an average of 28 children a day – the size of a classroom – have been killed (…) Gaza’s children need food, water, medicine and protection. More than anything, they need a ceasefire, NOW.”
