The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated there was no risk of radiation since no nuclear material was present at the Khondab reactor, which is still under construction.
The latest Zionist military offensive also included a wave of airstrikes on Tehran, Karaj and other areas. Simultaneously, Israel issued an immediate evacuation order for residents of Arak and Khondab, located about 300 kilometers southwest of the Iranian capital.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) condemned the bombing of the Khondab reactor as a criminal act. However, thanks to preventive measures, there were no human casualties.
“The IAEA has been repeatedly informed about these attacks but has so far taken no action,” the AEOI emphasized, accusing the International Atomic Energy Agency of passivity.
June 19 marks seven consecutive days of Israeli attacks against the Iranian people, which have so far killed at least 224. In response to the Zionist offensive, Iran has launched counterattacks that have killed 24 people in Israel.
On Thursday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said the U.S. would worsen the situation in the Middle East if it decided to intervene directly in the Israel-Iran war.
“This is not America’s war. But if they want to enter it, President Donald Trump will always be remembered for a war that wasn’t his—one he was dragged into. And this will become a quagmire and a hell for the entire region,” he said in an interview with the BBC.
