‘What you hear is the sound of the aggressor. It is the sound of the aggressor attacking the truth,’ presenter Emami said.
On Monday, Israeli forces bombed the offices of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in Tehran, disrupting the state-run channel’s live broadcast.

During the attack, presenter Sahar Emami, one of the most recognizable figures in Iranian television, was forced to leave the studio while on air.
“Listen, what you hear is the sound of the aggressor. It is the sound of the aggressor attacking the truth,” she said moments before the broadcast was cut off.
The impact occurred at one of the most popular times in the Iranian media landscape, given that the channel is the most watched in the country and state television is the main source of information for the Iranian public.
Max Blumenthal, editor of The Gray Zone News, posted a video showing an Iranian journalist reporting on the events as the IRIB building burned.
“Sending support and solidarity to my brave colleagues at Iran’s IRIB. Israel’s terror army has just bombed their main broadcast building, and they are still on air. These heroes are showing the world what resistance looks like!,” Blumenthal said.
