The Israeli army killed two journalists in the Gaza Strip, local sources reported on Monday, raising the number of media workers killed since October 2023 to more than 230.

The victims include Husam Al Adlouni, who was killed in a bombing of a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al Mawasi area, northwest of Khan Yunis, according to the Palestinian Journalists Protection Center on X. Newsperson Fadi Khalifa also died in another Israeli bombing while inspecting his home in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as confirmed by WAFA.
With these deaths, the number of press personnel killed in Gaza rises to 231, according to the resistance movement Hamas, which includes writers, communicators, camera operators, and influencers.
Netanyahu’s regime is carrying out the deadliest conflict for media workers ever recorded, according to a report by the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs’ Costs of War project. The study shows that more journalists have been killed in Gaza than in both World Wars, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia, and the United States war in Afghanistan combined.
These killings, along with Israel’s ban on allowing foreign press into the Gaza Strip, make it very difficult to cover and report on the massacres the Zionist entity is committing in Gaza, where more than 58,000 people have already died, most of them women and children.
