Tehran says copied drones are used to blame Iran and undermine ties with neighboring countries.

Iran has warned that adversaries are using copied drones to stage attacks across the region and falsely attribute them to Tehran in an effort to fuel tensions and damage relations with neighboring states.

In a statement addressed to neighboring countries and Muslim populations in the region, an Iranian military headquarters said such operations are designed to create suspicion about Iran’s role in regional incidents and provoke divisions between Tehran and its neighbors.

According to the statement, the purpose of these actions is to discredit what it described as the defensive and legal operations carried out by Iran’s Armed Forces, while portraying the country as responsible for attacks it did not conduct. The communiqué said Iran maintains a defense doctrine based on “solid legal foundations and clear logic.”

The statement also stressed that Iran only targets United States assets and Israeli interests, and that each operation is officially announced with Tehran assuming full responsibility for the consequences.

Iranian authorities cited recent incidents in Turkey, Kuwait and Iraq that have been attributed to Iranian forces, saying these attacks are part of what they described as deceptive operations designed to implicate the country.

At the same time, Iran continues attacks on U.S. bases and Israeli targets in the occupied Palestinian territories. Tehran describes these actions as a defensive response to what it calls joint U.S. and Israeli aggression against residential areas, civilian infrastructure and natural resources since Feb. 28.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi previously warned about Israel’s role in such incidents, saying they are intended to divert public attention and undermine positive relations between Iran and neighboring countries.
