The Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, in a joint statement, denounced that “The report lacks balance and does not offer a complete and accurate assessment of the factors influencing the current situation,” accusing the West of using the international organization as a “political instrument.”

Iran accused the international atomic agency of releasing this report under “undue pressure” from the US, UK, France and Germany, and based on falsified documents provided by Israel which Iran denounces as not a member of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and possess nuclear weapons.

In this regard, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi strongly rejected during a visit to Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum, south Tehran, saying that Western demands for Iran to abandon uranium enrichment, calling them an effort to impose dominance over the Iranian nation.

“When the other parties say you must not have enrichment, they are essentially trying to assert a kind of dominance and superiority over us,” he said. “Under international law, we have the same right as any other country to benefit from peaceful nuclear technology, including enrichment.”

He warned that accepting such a demand would be tantamount to accepting foreign domination, something the Iranian people would never tolerate. “Whether or not we need enrichment – and we do – it’s unacceptable for some to impose restrictions on us just because they consider themselves powerful. No one in Iran will submit to that.”

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran has significantly increased its production of highly enriched uranium, close to the level necessary for military use, by almost 50% between February and May, reaching 408.6 kg enriched at 60%, claims that they have already been dismissed by Teheran on several occasions.
