The military action demonstrated knowledge of the maritime domain in real time.
On Wednesday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed that four Iranian missiles managed to hit the USS Abraham Lincoln, forcing this aircraft carrier to flee further into the Indian Ocean.

Iran Warns of Regional Repercussions From U.S.-Israeli War
“The episode introduces immediate global ramifications for naval force posture doctrine, carrier strike group logistics footprint management, and Indo-Pacific maritime security calculations, as the repositioning of a U.S. nuclear-powered supercarrier away from Iranian littoral waters reshapes the balance of deterrence credibility across the Gulf of Oman and western Indian Ocean,” commented the online outlet Defence Security Asia.
“The engagement occurred while the USS Abraham Lincoln operated within a 250–300 kilometre corridor off Chabahar, a distance that placed the carrier inside an actionable anti-ship cruise missile threat envelope consistent with Iran’s layered coastal defence posture.”
“The firing of four cruise missiles from IRGC naval elements demonstrated a coordinated targeting and launch sequence that required integrated coastal surveillance, fire-control alignment, and real-time maritime domain awareness sufficient to track and prosecute a moving high-value naval target,” Defence Security Asia pointed out.
Iranian Forces Deal Several Notable Blows
IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini informed that the Iranian response to imperialist aggression has left no less than 680 U.S soldiers dead or wounded in combat.
On Tuesday, Iran’s Armed Forces summarized a series of successful operations conducted against the aggressors, highlighting the following actions:
-. Targeting the U.S. Marine Corps base at Camp Arifjan with 10 drones. More than 160 U.S. Marines were present and estimations put over 100 casualties in the combined drone–missile attack.
-. Downing of an Israeli Hermes drone by IRGC air defense over Khorramabad.
-. Targeting the US air base in Sheikh Isa, Bahrain in a large drone and missile operation at dawn. 10 strategic command and equipment sites were struck, including the air command-and-control center, aircraft fuel depots, and residences of senior U.S. commanders.
-. Downing of an armed intact Hermes-900 drone with EW systems.
-. Destruction of positions of separatist terrorist groups in Iraqi Kurdistan using 30 drones launched by IRGC Ground Force units. The group were planning infiltration operations.
-. Targeting a 2nd THAAD anti-missile system radar in West Asia with precision missiles, making the system out of operation. It adds that a THAAD radar at Al-Ruwais in the UAE had also been destroyed the previous day.
-. The Iranian (Artesh) Army also carried out multiple attacks on enemy forces. The army’s air-defense units shot down 7 Israeli drones, bringing the total downed drones of the American–Zionist enemies to 35.
-. Military areas in Israel, as well as U.S. ships and bases including Al-Udeid base in Qatar, were targeted by the Iranian Navy using drones and surface-to-surface missiles.
