In the most intense escalation since the onset of direct hostilities, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a sweeping missile and drone assault on Israeli-occupied territories early Monday, striking key cities and strategic facilities from Tel Aviv and Haifa to Ashdod and Beersheba.

Described by the IRGC as the “21st wave” of its True Promise 3 operation, the attack combined solid and liquid-fueled missiles with suicide drones, using what Iranian military sources called “specialized tactics designed to pierce the dense defensive shield of the Zionist regime.”

Israeli media reported multiple salvos fired directly from Iran, with at least ten rockets launched in one wave. Air raid sirens wailed for over 30 uninterrupted minutes across much of the occupied territory, including Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Ashdod, Modi’in, Ashkelon, and occupied Jerusalem. Alerts soon expanded northward to Haifa, Tiberias, Upper Galilee, and Safed.

Missiles struck several areas, with confirmed impacts in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Safed, and Beersheba. A direct hit reportedly damaged a power station in Ashdod, triggering power outages in surrounding coastal cities. Fragmented remains of rockets were also found in various urban zones, and unconfirmed reports point to a strike on a sensitive military site in the south.

According to the Israeli Energy Minister, a major power station was attacked, resulting in a power outage affecting roughly 8,000 homes.

The Israeli Home Front Command acknowledged at least four successive waves of attacks, confirming that the most recent barrages targeted both northern and southern regions. Authorities urged settlers not to leave bomb shelters under any circumstances, as what local media described as “unprecedented scenes of rocket explosions” continued.

This marks the longest sustained period of missile sirens across the country since open conflict with Iran began, signaling a major turning point in the confrontation.

Though the Iranian government has not issued additional public statements, the IRGC’s framing of this strike as a strategic response to Israeli aggression suggests Tehran is prepared for continued escalation.

As the situation evolves, all eyes are now on Tel Aviv and Tehran — and the potential for broader regional fallout. TeleSUR English will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
