The exhibition includes a map indicating the regions of the world where teleSUR has established a presence and produced impactful coverage in recent history. It also showcases a series of illuminated boxes that illustrate the channel’s technological evolution and exclusive content. Attendees can listen to firsthand testimonies from key figures involved in teleSUR’s development.
Another section displays the recognitions the channel has received, such as letters, medals, and shirts awarded by presidents and global personalities who value its work. Additionally, there are artistic works inspired by teleSUR and a replica of a television set where visitors can interact and simulate being reporters for the network.
The exhibition will be open until August 22, inviting the public to discover a different perspective on global journalism offered by teleSUR over these 20 years.
Founded in 2005, teleSUR is a pan–Latin American multimedia news network created to provide an alternative perspective to mainstream global media. It is a collaborative project initiated by several Latin American countries, including Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia, with the goal of promoting regional integration, diversity of voices, and independent journalism that reflects the realities and aspirations of Latin America.
From its inception, teleSUR has focused on delivering news that challenges dominant narratives, giving voice to underrepresented communities and covering social, political, and economic issues often ignored by other outlets. Over the years, it has expanded its platform to include television, radio, and digital media across multiple languages, becoming a vital source of information and a tool for amplifying Latin American perspectives worldwide.
