In a victory for the Bolivarian Revolution, the Venezuelan government, under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and national sovereignty by dismantling a dangerous international mercenary network.

Thirty-eight individuals, comprising Ecuadorians, Colombians, and Albanians linked to a transnational mafia, were arrested for plotting terrorist attacks aimed at destabilizing Venezuela ahead of the crucial May 25th elections.

This operation reaffirms the strength of Venezuela’s security forces and the effectiveness of the civic-military union, a cornerstone of the Bolivarian Revolution.

The government’s swift action has neutralized a grave threat orchestrated by foreign interests seeking to undermine Venezuelan democracy and impose their imperialist agenda through violence and sabotage.

A Transnational Terrorist Plot Against Venezuela

President Maduro revealed that this mercenary group, tied to the Albanian-Ecuadorian mafia, had planned a series of violent acts, including: bombings of embassies in Venezuela to provoke international condemnation; attacks against government and opposition figures, seeking to create chaos and division, kidnappings of relatives of high-ranking officials, a cowardly tactic to pressure and demoralize the state.

These actions were designed to disrupt the upcoming regional elections, where the Venezuelan people will democratically elect governors and legislative representatives.

The timing of these plots is no coincidence, imperialist forces and their local lackeys seek to delegitimize Venezuela’s electoral process, just as they have done in the past.

Erik Prince and the U.S. Empire’s Hand in Ecuador

President Maduro rightfully exposed the connection between these mercenaries and Erik Prince, the notorious founder of Blackwater (now Academi), who visited Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in April.

Prince, a known instrument of U.S. interventionism, offered “security training” to Ecuador’s forces, a clear indication of Washington’s involvement in destabilizing the region.

President Maduro revealed that this mercenary group, tied to the Albanian-Ecuadorian mafia, had planned a series of violent acts

“If Erik Prince is in Ecuador, the U.S. empire is there too,” declared Maduro, highlighting the undeniable link between these mercenary groups and foreign powers seeking to overthrow progressive governments in Latin America.

The Drug Trafficking-Terrorism Nexus

Venezuela’s Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, provided further details on the operation, revealing that the detained individuals were part of “mafia groups of violence, terrorism, and conspiracy.”

These criminals entered Venezuela from Colombia by land or air, highlighting the transnational threat.

Cabello emphasized that drug trafficking funds these terrorist operations, with seized evidence showing that over 9 tons of cocaine were intended to finance attacks against Venezuela. This narcoterrorist network has ties to:

  • The Albanian mafia, which controls significant drug trafficking operations in Ecuador.
  • A cryptoassets criminal ring, linked to extortion and kidnappings, demanding payments in digital currencies.
  • The narco-mayors of Zulia, a case that has already exposed deep corruption within certain opposition sectors.

Maria Corina Machado and the Opposition’s Role

Cabello did not hesitate to point out the political motivations behind these attacks, identifying opposition leader Maria Corina Machado and former Caracas Metropolitan Police commissioner Ivan Simonovis as key figures in this destabilization plot.

Machado, who has repeatedly called for boycotting the May 25th elections, aligns herself with foreign interests seeking regime change in Venezuela.

Her alliance with Jose Enrique Rincon, a supposed shrimp businessman arrested in Colombia for drug trafficking, further exposes the opposition’s ties to criminal networks.

Rincon’s front company was used to smuggle narcotics via fake boats disguised as military vessels, a clear attempt to falsely implicate Venezuela’s armed forces.

Venezuela’s Firm Response: Protecting Democracy

In response to these threats, the Venezuelan government has taken decisive measures: suspension of flights from Colombia to prevent further infiltration of mercenaries.

Strengthening border security to block illegal armed groups. Continued dismantling of criminal networks through intelligence and counterterrorism operations.

These actions reflect the government’s commitment to peace, sovereignty, and the rule of law.

Unlike the violent guarimbas (street riots) promoted by the opposition in past years, the Bolivarian government stands firm in its rejection of foreign-backed destabilization attempts.

The People Will Decide on May 25th

Despite the opposition’s attempts to discredit Venezuela’s electoral system, millions of Venezuelans will participate in the May 25th elections to choose their local leaders.

The government’s success in thwarting this mercenary plot ensures that the elections will proceed peacefully, allowing the people to exercise their democratic rights without foreign interference.

Venezuela Stands Strong Against Imperialism

Once again, Venezuela has demonstrated its resilience against imperialist aggression. The Bolivarian Revolution, led by President Maduro, remains steadfast in defending national sovereignty and the right to self-determination.

The people, the military, and the government stand united against any form of foreign intervention.

The world must recognize Venezuela’s right to peace and condemn these cowardly terrorist plots orchestrated by foreign mafias and their political puppets.

The Venezuelan people will not be intimidated, they will continue building their future, free from imperialist domination.
