The Lebanese group Hezbollah strongly condemned the recent threats made by the United States against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The member of the Axis of Resistance warned that even raising the possibility of his assassination would have serious repercussions and deeply offend millions of Muslims.

“The mere utterance of such threats is an offense against hundreds of millions of believers and defenders of dignity, resistance, and Islamic authenticity,” the statement said.

On June 17th, U.S. President Donald Trump used his social media platform, Truth Social, to send a direct message to Khamenei, claiming, “We know precisely where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. Although he is an easy target, he remains safe for now. We have no plans to eliminate him (kill him!), at least not at this moment. Our patience is wearing thin.”

As a crucial ally of Tehran, the Shia organization vehemently denounced the intimidation directed at Khamenei, highlighting that the Ayatollah holds a position of great religious significance both in Iran and across the global Muslim community.

The Lebanese movement, which remains uninvolved in the ongoing conflict between Iran and the Zionist entity, declared that “the United States will realize that it has sunk into a deep abyss because of its tyrannical support for Israel’s brutal aggression in Gaza, the regional resistance, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Hezbollah pledged firm solidarity with Iran’s leadership and people as part of a shared struggle rooted in principles of dignity and faith.
